Märket, Åland Islands (Finland) / Sweden: Märket lighthouse glowing faintly in the blue twilight of the Scandinavian summer night. The border between Finland and Sweden runs through the small Märket island in the Baltic Sea. The two other light spots seen in the photo are the setting moon on the left, and the Swedish lighthouse Understen in the horizon.

In August 2007 I made a trip to Iceland together with the Finnish Lighthouse Association. I took a lot of pictures, while we drove around most of the island during one week. Newly published photos are seen below.

The photos are taken using a Nokia N95 mobile phone, which I received for testing in April 2007.
Usually I publish the cameraphone photos fresh "on the road", almost in real time. The photos are completely unmodified, and most of them can be viewed and downloaded in their original resolution of five megapixels. You may comment on the photos, if you've signed up for Yahoo! and flickr.
My phone has a GPS navigator, and therefore knows its location when receiving signals from the navigation satellites orbiting the earth. Using the ShoZu program the phone saves the coordinates of the photo shooting locations, which can be viewed using the map links in flickr.
